Wedding: James and Jasmine

I imagine Michael and Airiyel are back from their Honeymoon in the Slocan Valley, Kooteneys.

I have had some spare time to take a look at some of the snapshots of their wedding and thought I better share a few of them.

Ahh Airiyel you have great smile and laugh.

It is good to see that "Cload Busting Filter" for my camera is working ;-)

Snow Show

Big snow in October! What fun, what work!

Busy shoveling out vehicles and homes and bins and ... shovels... where did I put my snow shovel!?

But today is such a gorgeous sunny winter day, Kerstin burst out of the cabin, then back in again, "Let's go Snow-shoeing!"

So Here is our little snow-shoe adventure :-)

Kerstin Taking BIG STEPS in the snow!

I was really impressed how well she takes up all these winter sports.

Here are the doggies surging ahead of

Kerstin and I as they found a fresh deer trail to walk on. Bogard being quite a bit smaller than Frodo, and not having the webbed paws as Frodo does has a bit more trouble than Frodo in the snow. However, it certainly does not slow his tenacity!

Kerstin was loving the snow and scrunching.

And sometimes she rolled in it :)

We took a little walk into the woods.

And Frodo Bounding through the deep powder snow!

Follow our Fearless Leader!

Okay Break Time!

And the lovely snowy landscape.

Hmmm Nobody saw this right?

Time to Get back home, tired doggies and tired legs...

Okay I better get back outside plowing our driveway and building more snow shelters.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Cheers from Northern BC!

Little Evening Walks

We went for a little jaunt up to rocky point. Catch a breather, feel the space open up around us. The sky was into its full autumn colour show.

It was a little too dark to get a good photo of the valley colours. Try to get up there sometime before the leaves are lost in the wind.

Kerstin spotted one of the resident Great Grey Owls on our little walk. She had been wanting to hear it for sometime, and finally last night I managed to wake her so she could listen to one "Hooting" in the early hours. Of course she wanted badly to see one next... so full success!

The sky went on for one final finally of colours...

Well cheers! Till another day!

The Fall out of Summer

Autumn is fully on here. The leaves are all giving up their chlorophyll revealing all their hidden colours, while packing their stores downstairs :)

Squirrels are going 'Nuts' gathering all they can, and trying to remember all the hidden spots they had over the summer. A couple of Squirrels were not impressed with my road-work, I think I may have scooped up some of their stashes and re-located.

** note ** no squirrels were harmed in the making of this road.

Misty Trip

So.... it's a misty morning here. Damp. Rain... E. R.... So FINALLY, we are off to the Coast!

Kerstin keeps talking about the beach... no big beautiful sandy ones here... well not many that are accessible, without boat, sorry. Just Rock and craggy edges with tidal pools and hermit crabs living under barnacled rocks.

To the coast it is then!
